A new Partner Search (PS) was launched in Photonics:

Canada's Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) Program fosters powerful partnerships among universities, industry, government and not-for-profit organizations aimed at turning Canadian research and entrepreneurial talent into economic and social benefits for all Canadians. Recently, the program launched a pilot initiative to expand the international reach of the NCEs. The goal of the initiative is to provide the NCEs with additional support to develop and enhance linkages with equivalent organizations in the rest of the world.

The Canadian Institute for Photonic Innovations (CIPI) is looking for European Partners!

European FP7 Consultation Meeting on Internet of the Future" Workshop, Montréal, 29th September, 2006

IST-EC2 partners will be attending the "European FP7 Consultation Meeting on Internet of the Future" Workshop in Montréal on September 29th 2006.

If you have any specific requests for information or contacts Mr. Jim Burt, Mr. Andrew Cameron and Mrs. Debbie Kemp who will attend this Workshop will see what contacts they can make for you in the context of this event.

The FET (Future and Emerging Technologies) organizes in Montréal a Workshop contributing to the forthcoming European Research Framework Programme 7.

With this Workshop, FET promotes an exchange of views for stimulating cooperation between FET projects and the Canadian researchers who are working in the area of "Internet of the Future". More specifically the workshop will cover topics such as:

- autonomic communications
- self-evolving networks
- beyond-IP internet
- facilities for testing of future internet concepts
