Europe-Canada Partnering Session on Research in Photonics

at Photonics North 2006, in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada from June 5 - 8, 2006  

IST-EC2 Project partners from both Canada and Europe will be hosting a Partnering Session in ROOM 2104-A, from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. on June 7, 2006 at the Photonics North 2006 conference, which will be held in Quebec City from June 5-8 that will provide you with an opportunity to present your research to an international audience interested in:

• Ultra-Short pulse Optics: lasers, sources and applications
• New optical materials/optical memories
• Fiber Lasers and Amplifiers: Development & Applications
• Biomedical photonics
• Industrial Applications of Optics: Materials Processing and Characterization
• Microwave Photonics
• Photonic devices
• Nano-photonics and photon-based atomic level manipulation
• Guided Waves Devices

The purpose of Photonics North 2006, is to present the latest accomplishments, future directions and innovations in optics/photonics to an international audience. Participants will include universities and companies with truly interesting new perspectives on the use of innovative optics/photonics technologies, systems, concepts and analyses. Presentations will address and explore advances in science and technology that will impact on the increased use of photonics in the 21st century.
