The second-largest Information & Communications Technology and Consumer Electronics exhibition in the world. Last year there were 410.000 visitors and about 3.000 exhibitors, 800 of which coming from over 30 countries. Smau is at the center of attention of the national media: the ICT press, newspapers, radio and television. Smau 2002 offers the widest possible range of conferences, seminars, meetings: from institutional conferences to initiatives included in the individual areas, essential events for updating on new trends.
Over 18,000 people each year take part in the conferences and seminars at Smau. This figure reflects an opportunity to meet a wide, interested and qualified audience of potential customers and partners. The conferences and seminars of Smau 2002 are opportunities to meet and compare ideas, which each company can take advantage of and tailor to its own needs. Besides institutional conferences every day there are dozens of meetings on specific sectors, as well as numerous opportunities to meet the press.

"CANADA/EUROPE IST Partnering Event"

In this framework the Canadian Embassy and the Italian Partner of the Project IST-EC, are organising the CANADA/EUROPE IST Partnering Event, October 25, 11 a.m. - 1.30 p.m. One-to-one meetings will be held with the assistance of the IST-EC partners who will make a presentation of the project and of the companies present. This event will be organised within the Canadian pavilion, and is free of charge and will be followed by a buffet where the participants are invited to take part in.
