Description
The aim of the event is to bring together the results of European activity, improve contacts between actors and to discuss the development of organisation of work.
In 2002, the European eWork Assembly will take place in Paris - September 25-27 -, on the premises of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, at the Conference Centre Pierre Mendes France. This annual gathering is a unique occasion for politicians, industrialists, trade unions, researchers, ICT representatives and eWork pioneers from over 30 countries, on the area of ework and new methods of work in Europe, to meet and exchange best practices.
The Paris event will focus on practical cases, business models which have proven beneficial results and recent agreements and findings. The conference will provide a forum for presentation and discussion of new innovative ways of organising work from both the technical, the economical, the legal and the social point of view.
Parallel sessions will concentrate on four key themes :
• eWork and competitiveness
• ework and corporate social responsibility
• ework, law and industrial relations
• Technology for eWork
Those themes are definitely linked with the major topics of the Information Society implementation and the e-Europe action plan.
A show-room will be held at the venue with the European industrial sponsors and the participation of IST project consortia. This year, for the first time, the Assembly will incorporate the eWork European Awards Ceremony.
IST-EC will organize a partnering session on e-work. Our aim is to offer an opportunity to companies and research institutes to discuss possibilities of European-Canadian collaboration. The main objective is to create European-Canadian collaborative R&D projects. Following this approach the intention of the IST-EC partnering session is to provide the participants with an opportunity to present their project ideas, to meet potential partners and to initialize joint R&D projects.
