Andreas Jedlitschka received his M.S. degree (Diplom) in Computer Science with a minor in economics from the University of Kaiserslautern in 1994. After working as an IT-consultant he joined Fraunhofer IESE in 2000. Currently he is scientist with the Fraunhofer IESE. After having acted as a business area manager in the area of software development he is now responsible for the coordination of Fraunhofer IESE European activities. His research interest is empirically based decision support.  Recently he has published guidelines for reporting controlled experiments in SE, providing one starting point for the adoption of the evidence-based Software Engineering paradigm. Mr. Jedlitschka was and is member of the several program committees of software engineering related conferences, like International Conference on Human Computer Interaction, International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering, International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering, and International Conference on Quality of Information and Communications Technology. In addition he is a reviewer for software engineering related journals, like Empirical Software Engineering and Information & Software Technology. Andreas has co-founded and is the chair of the Workshop Series on Empirical Software Engineering. He had leading roles in European projects under FP5 and currently under FP6.
