The research project aims to extract and to use data from uncertain environments, with sonar and radar applications. The studies carried out here aim at making the systems which acquire and process radar or sonar observations smarter. This places the emphasis on decision support to make better synergy between human operators and operationnal information systems.

Our themes dealing with the project are : - modeling and characterization of the environment, - data extraction and representation (N-D signals), - data fusion and decision support. our competencies are about : - inversion problems in natural environments, - time frequency and time-scale methods, - multivariate statistics methods, - radar and sonar imagery, - observation systems architecture (multi-sensor, multi-site), - investigation data fusion models. Partner competencies could be link to such fields and also to other fields such as : software and knowledge engineering, intelligence artificial and datamining.
